Llibreteria Street was the scene of many civic festivals.

During the Middle Ages and the Modern Era usual civic festivals were held in public spaces. The street was decorated with Llibreteria ephemeral architecture and spectacular decorations (pictured, King Alfonso the Magnanimous, promoter of these events).

Trade was founded in 1934 and has always specialized in selling all kinds of fabrics: wool, viscose, cotton, silk, and curtains and fashion.
Tejidos la Marta has been open since 1934 and is currently run by Xavier Estradé. As well as the commercial uses, carrer Llibreteria has always been influenced by its proximity to the centers of political power, and the royal palace (in plaça del Rei), the Generalitat and Ajuntament (the town hall). During the Middle Ages and the Modern period, important political decisions, events and government ephemerides were presented in public spaces. During this festivals and solemn celebrations, the streets were decorated with ephemeral architeure or spectacular decorations. Between 1423 and 1457, seven royal celebrations took place at Llibreteria, that was the epicenter of these public celebrations.

Trade was founded in 1934. Today is the second generation who runs it. The store has always specialized in selling all kinds of fabrics: wool, viscose, cotton, silk, and curtains.

From the 1960s until 2010, became a small catalogs of fabrics for garment manufacturers and fashion designers, having more than 350 clients located throughout Catalonia and elsewhere in Spain.

Since 1980 opens a new lady parts section that has increased the variety of products to this day. Offering womens fashion with excellent quality fabrics.
