By the sixth century the old Roman structures had been demolished. The Temple of Augustus remained only partially standing. The mystery surrounding the building meant that this area was called Miraculum.
You are right in front of the old Castell Vell (Old Castle) in Barcelona. First was the residence of the Viscount of Barcelona and, later, the delegate of the king. From here dispensed justice. Earlier, as you see in the picture, here were some baths.
Many years ago, between the sixth and twelfth centuries, this area was depopulated staying. Gaps between the Roman ruins were to become orchards.
